Usher is making a difficult decision for the sake of his health.

Hours before he was supposed perform on stage in Atlanta as the first stop in his Past Present Future tour, the "Yeah!" singer canceled the concert to prioritize his well-being.

"For my 30-plus year career, 100 percent of my blood, sweat and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans," Usher wrote in a message shared to his Instagram Aug. 14. "I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well, which is why I have to postpone tonight's show and schedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal."

And the 45-year-old—who is also scheduled to perform in Atlanta on Aug. 16 and 17—emphasized that his choice would be better for ticket holders in the long run, explaining, "You're still going to get a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date but you'll also be getting 100 percent of me."

Insisting that the last thing he would want to do is disappoint the fans "who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start," Usher noted, "I wouldn't be the entertainer that I am if I can't physically give you my best."

"My team will be sharing news of the rescheduled date soon," he added. "I can't wait to celebrate this legacy with you."

Following the update, fans came out in support of Usher, highlighting that his 2024 Super Bowl performance, Coming Home album release and "My Way" Las Vegas residency have certainly required a lot of his energy over the past year.

"This man gave us 100 shows in Vegas then did Super Bowl," one Instagram user commented under his post. "He deserves the rest."

Another wrote, "You’ve been on goooooo take ur rest."

A third fan added, "Rest is so necessary & as we get older, recovery time takes longer. I’m not mad at it AT ALL!!!!"
